Kaatz Funeral Directors, Incorporated, a Michigan Centennial business, is owned by the father and son team Dick and John Kaatz.

Dick purchased the Yale location following graduation from Wayne State University, Detroit and John, his partner, graduated from Worsham Mortuary College, Chicago. Business grew and the first additional location added was Gillian Funeral Home, Yale, followed by Barnard Funeral Home, Capac and Rister Funeral Home, Avoca. A state of the art facility was built in Richmond and opened in 2002.

Our professional philosophy is simple: Earn the family's trust with economical and enriching service, awareness of changing needs, continued improvements in facilities and equipment and advanced professional education of the Kaatz staff.

Prepared for the future, we offer both trational and cremation services and we are licensed funeral insurance agents offering trust and FIA pre-need accounts. Our monument company of 40 years offers a discounted line of granite and bronze cemetery memorials.
