Our Story

Our Story

For nearly five decades, the Kaatz team has been an ultimate provider in both traditional and cremation services in Yale, MI, and surrounding areas. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.

Kaatz Funeral Directors, Incorporated, was owned and operated by Dick Kaatz and then managed for many years as a father-son duo with his son, John. John Kaatz continues to carry on his father's legacy owning and operating the four funeral homes. John, with the help of his dedicated staff, currently manage four state-of-the-art facilities in Saint Clair and Macomb Counties. The history of Kaatz Funeral Directors dates back over 50 years. Although some things change with time, the passion the Kaatz team has for assisting families and lessening the burden in their time of need has not.
